April Ministry Updates

Hey friends!

I hope you are doing well. This past weekend was Spring Showcase our annual fundraiser we put on each year to help send student to the Student Institute of Campus Ministry in Bellingham, Washington.. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to all who gave and for coming to the event. It was such a success and we are so excited to use this money to help fund some of our students trip. If you didn’t get a chance to enjoy Spring Showcase here’s a video from one of our students a couple years ago, click here. It’s the sweetest video!  I will be traveling with the June students this summer making this my 4th time going to SICM. I’m not tired of it yet, that’s how great it is!

This year we have four students from Richland that are going to SICM this year. If you weren't able to come to Spring Showcase but would like to give towards their trip you can do so here. Their names are Claude, Reni, Kobloh-Obase, Josue Corzo. :)

I can’t believe we are only a few weeks away from the end of the semester! Our students will be in the middle of finals next time I send my blog out. Be praying for them as they approach the end of the semester!

Here are a couple of pictures for your enjoyment! Thank you for your prayers and support! I’m so thankful for each of you all. If there’s any way I can be praying for you please let me know.

Your campus missionary,

Sandra Salvador

Hey friends!

I apologize for being MIA last month. The busiest time of the school year for ministry is now over and now I get the chance to update you on all of the cool things that are going on at Richland. Be prepared for lots of pictures!

Our Cores

Cores are our ministries small groups that meet throughout the week on the Richland campus. In core we study the Bible, build deep relationships, and invite students from our campus to come join us. This year I get to lead with one of my favorite girls Kobloh-Obase or KB for short. :) This is KB’s first year leading in any sort of ministry role but you wouldn’t even know if you saw her lead, she is such a natural! KB is so good at reaching out to people, making them feel loved, and she is just so fun. I love getting to co-lead core with her. We are a few weeks into core and it’s so exciting getting to see friendships being formed. The girls come each week ready to talk about Jesus and share their lives with another. We usually tend to star…
Hey team!I can’t believe the school year is officially over. What a year! This past week has been full of end of the year festivities, encouragements, and even some tears. As I reflect back on the past school year, God has been so sweet to me and our ministries. This year has been one of tremendous growth for our staff, our leader team, and our student body.
I asked three Richland ladies the following “How has God been faithful to you this school year?” I was so encouraged by their responses that I wanted to share them with you! Side note: They were so excited to be featured in this months ministry blog. This is Reni! I get to meet with Reni weekly to study the Bible. She is a deep-thinker, honest, and has such a hunger to get to know more of Jesus. She is also an amazing singer!
“God has been so faithful to me this school year. He has always been with me but starting college I never felt more blessed in my relationships with my professors and companions and even my school work. God has…
Hey friends! I can't believe we are only a few days away from the first day of school! This summer has been great and all but I am definitely SO ready to be back on campus a lot more and I’m especially excited to meet new students. We still have so much to do as a team before classes begin. In the next few days we will be nailing down our student leader team for both Richland and TWU Dallas. We have so many great students that we are considering for leadership this year and being a corefa is a big commitment, pray for the staff as we have these final conversations but also for the students as they consider whether to lead for the school year or not.
GO THUNDERDUCKS! The first week of school at Richland College we are on campus five days away for long hours meeting students, playing games, telling them about our ministry, setting up time with those students throughout the week and it can be a long and exhausting week. Every year is the same and every year I forget to spend time pra…
